Past few weeks have been busy and I have honestly not been able to get out and take photos like I've wanted to sadly. But, two weeks ago I took a drive out to Nelson Kennedy Ledges State Park. Further south on the road is the more famous Quarry with plenty of cliff jumping and other water activities. With no intentions to get wet I walked the paths across the street from Nelson Kennedy Ledges State Park. It was actually a fairly hot day but walking through the cuts in the rock offered some natural and much needed A/C. There are two waterfalls in the area but due to lack of rain they where not flowing very well and honestly not picture worthy in my opinion! The trails are very lush with green inside the rock work there is moss growing over almost all of the walls making for a very unique hike. The one thing that I will touch on which agitated me A LOT was the fact that there was trash everywhere you look. I get it this is a very hot spot for people to check out but in some places the amount of trash that was left behind by people was somewhat off putting. Be that as it may do not let that deter you from this place, overall it is very beautiful to hike around and through the rocks and many caves in the area. Watch your step the trails tend to drop off in some areas and if you are not careful you could have a somewhat painful misstep! This coming weekend I will be heading to Cleveland near MLK to check out the nature preserve near the lake. Was tipped off by a friend and am very eager to check it out! As always if you have recommendations for me or would like to see photos of a certain place you can fill out the "Contact Me" section on the "About Me" Page. Your feedback is always welcome, hope you enjoy the photos!
