Way back in July I walked around the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve with my sister, cousin and fellow photographer Dave Hall. For those of you not familiar with the area Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve is located on the outskirts of Downtown Cleveland at the northern most part of Martin Luther King blvd. The park offers a very nice nature get away for anyone who lives in the Downtown area but wouldn't want to drive into the suburbs. Many variety of birds tons of rabbits as well as amazing views of Cleveland all can be had at this nature preserve.
We walked the trail leading behind the trooper station where I caught a good shot of a rabbit near some tall grass. Continuing on the path after you are behind the station there is a turnstile that leads into a heavily wooded area be careful where you step because the rabbits here seem to not be to afraid of humans and if you move slowly you can actually get fairly close to them! We followed the path through the wooded area until it opens up and then it splits to the left and to the right. and decided to hang a right that lead us through some trees and over a long wooden bridge until we hit a metal erosion wall. Further up the path there is an opening that you are able to climb over out on large rocks that offer stunning views of lake houses in the Bratenahl community. Plenty of boats out on the water and people enjoying the lovely day out on the lake. After relaxing on the rocks we moved went to the lookout which is located in the northwestern part of the preserve. We arrived shortly before sunset and got some great shots of the sun going down over the lake. The walk back to the car finishing up the loop was plentiful in bugs so be aware of that if you plan to catch a sunset at this park.
I have been working on a few ways to make prints avaliable for purchase from the website and I am tossing around a few different ideas. This is part of the reason it is taking me so long in between uploads of photos. Vegas is being worked on still as there are A LOT of photos taken on that trip. Expect prints to be available within this next month as I explore the proper way to go about making them ready for you! As always if you have recommendations for me or would like to see photos of a certain place you can fill out the "Contact Me" section on the "About Me" Page. Your feedback is always welcome, hope you enjoy the photos!
